Day 6: Last Full Day in Seoul

The week went by so fast, I suddenly felt loneliness knowing that I soon have to leave this beautiful country without any plans of coming back soon. I didn't want to leave just yet but since the day has started, why not continue with my plans?

On this day, all four of us decided to do our Solo Trips in the morning and meet up in the afternoon then eat together for dinner. (Robert went to visit the National Museum, Ryan went on a Hike, while Shai and I are spending the rest of the day after Church). My bestfriend and I wanted to make the most out of this day because this is our last date before I leave for Australia. True enough, it really was. We didn't see each other after this Trip and I am looking forward to reuniting with her this December!

Our sixth day was a Sunday! First Sunday of December 2016. Dad never fails to remind me that if I happen to be somewhere else on a Sunday, I have to go find the nearest LDS Church and attend meetings there. So, I decided to find an English Ward of our Church. Looking it up online was easy, but navigating my way to it was definitely not! I totally forgot that the pocket wifi was with Ryan when I left alone for church. I wanted to be there in time for the Sacrament so I risked taking a cab!

The cab driver couldn't understand what I was saying (even if I'm trying my hardest to speak in Korean LOL). I just told him to drop me off a train station that I know but when I check the screenshot of the map I just went on to tell the driver about the directions from it and finally, found the church. I was exactly on time! The moment I got in, the congregation has already started singing the opening hymn.

After church, I found my way back to Hongdae to meet up with my bestfriend for lunch. Guess which place? It's at Goowuso! It's our favorite Korean BBQ place! We ate here on our first trip and it was the bomb! Samgyupsal was absolutely delicious, melts in my mouth! LOL

Finger heart for the love of Korean BBQ! <3
More Samgyupsal because why not?!
We certainly enjoyed lunch and couldn't wait to explore Ihwa Mural Village!

Ihwa Mural Village is a collection of creative murals. It was our very first time visiting this village but we've been hearing so much about this and looked forward on finally visiting it. Our favorite spot was definitely the "wings" mural but we did enjoy most of the murals.

On the way to Ihwa Mural Village, you can stop by Naksan Park where we spent our first night in Seoul! If I only knew Ihwa Mural Village was right next to it, I would have went that night. LOL.

Just a photo with our cotton candy ducky! We decided to bring her around before eating her HAHAHA
On the wings of love :)
After stopping by Ihwa Mural Village, we went to visit Coffee Prince (yes kdrama alert again! LOL) Coffee Shop which was called "Sanmotoonge Cafe". This Cafe was used as a home setting for the Korean drama First Shop of Coffee Prince. Imagine the fangirling moment my bestfriend and I had LOL!

It was a bit of walk from the bus stop since the Cafe is on a hill top, we went on a short "hiking" kind of walk which challenged our poor stamina lol but we survived and would do it over and over again for the breathtaking view from this Cafe.

Grabbed this photo from Shai. Yes, that view is WOW!
This short stopover at the Cafe was one of the best moments I had with my bestfriend. We totally nailed "Catching up" with our two-hour long conversation about life, "love life" and future plans. It was one of the best chill moments with Shai and I wouldn't trade that moment for anything. I know it sounds cheesy but when you know you won't be seeing your best friend for awhile, it's just going to make you tear up. I promise you it's true. We both felt adults struggling with adult life HAHAHAH from high school to adult-ing was such a tough transition.

You just can't leave this place without a photo op with the famous horses :)))
Last stop for this trip was to try SAMGYETANG as our last supper. Ryan and Robert met us at the Restaurant. Too bad I didn't get to take good photos as we were all starving but I had the chance to take a snapchat photo of what I'm eating.

No filter for this yummy samgyetang! It's a whole chicken stuffed with rice and cooked in ginger broth
Outside the Samgyetang Restaurant with Mumshie <3 #/hhww LOL
This is the last and full day we spent in Seoul as a group because Ryan and I flew back early morning of the next day while the mumshies stayed for one more day. How I wish I can stay longer, but you know how adults have to go back on the daily grind to survive. LOL.

Exactly one year ago, this Winter in Korea adventure just started. I miss Seoul! I want to go back there soon but let me just put all my worries away and let fate decide if I can come for a quick visit next year. This trip was nothing short of ecstatic! I am eternally grateful for Ryan and Robert for keeping up with my bestfriend and I's insanity and short-tempered natures. You are the most appropriate shock absorb-ers and travel buddies!

xx
