Winter in Korea: Day 4

I've always wanted to visit a place where I can actually see rows of trees all lined up on the sides of a long pathway where I can take my time to walk and enjoy how those trees were perfectly planted. Isn't that pretty? On our fourth day in Korea, we finally visited one! It's NAMI ISLAND!

This day's itinerary is a Tour Package we got from onedaykorea.com. The tour included two tourist locations namely Naminara Republic/Nami Island and an afternoon Ski at Vivaldi Ski Park (gears included on the package).

We met with the tour guide early in the morning at Hongdae so we can all travel together to the locations mentioned. Here goes our photo diary:

As we went on to the port to ride the ferry to Nami Island, a big banner welcomed us.

The view of the port from the ferry on our way to Nami Island.

The tree lane behind us really amazes me.

More photos because...why not?

My favorite photo of myself in Nami Island! Thanks Ryan for this!

Grabbed this group photo from our friend Sheinel. Thanks Sheinel!
Nami Island is full of different "instagram-worthy" locations. A day won't be enough to actually go around the island and see everything on the map. This island has also been home to several famous Korean Dramas. Remember Winter Sonata? It was filmed here!

As much as we wanted to stay longer in Nami, we had to follow the schedule (which we slightly delayed because we requested to extend for another 30 minutes hehe) and go to Vivaldi Ski Park. So off we went!

I wasn't really excited for Vivaldi because I don't know how to ski but I was looking forward to see a whole place covered in snow. Since the package included a ski lesson, we were able to know the basics and somehow, enjoyed skiing at the beginner's slope. Trust me it was more difficult than we expected but once you get the hang of it, you'll definitely enjoy!

Please do not be deceived. It's artificial snow!

A group photo after a whole afternoon of falling down and getting up from snow.

Can't complete a photodiary without my bestie!
All in all, this tour package from onedaykorea.com was absolutely worth every won we paid. We had difficulty with the arrangements at the Ski Park but I think the experience was something we all could learn from. Nami Island and Vivaldi Ski Park for one day was a good idea!

We visited Korea in its early days of winter so even if we wished for snow, we could not witness a real snow fall. So, if you are looking forward to see snow, make sure you visit mid-December to January for the full blast snow falling. I would love to come back next year! *fingers crossed*

Two more Winter in Korea posts and I'm almost finished. Yaaaay!
