Winter in Korea: Day 2 (Part 2)

Browsing our Korea travel photos, I only realized it now that we visited the most number of places on the second day of our trip. We went to five different places (Jongmyo Royal Shrine, Changdeokgung Temple, National Museum, Namsan Seoul Tower & Myeongdong Shopping District). This probably explains why we woke up late on our third day and missed eating our breakfast.

Going back to the other half of our second day itinerary, we went to meet my bestfriend and momshie Rob so we can finally see more places as a complete group. Since we all haven't taken our lunch, we went on a Barbecue Place called "MEAT-ing" in Hongdae. For a $13 lunch buffet, it was a pretty good price. However, when we told out Korean Landlord about the place, he was insistent that the place was not the best barbecue place. He suggested other better places that serves good meat.

(Sorry, we forgot to take a photo! We're starving so no one thought of taking a photo. Hahahaha)

Now that we have our energies back, we decided to visit the most popular tower in Seoul--Namsan Seoul Tower. I knew the tower because of the Korean Drama "Boys Over Flowers". It was the place were Geum Jandi and Goo Jun Pyo were supposed to meet but Gun Pyo got stood up and waited in vain at the tower on that cold winter night. I'll never forget that scene! (I swore to myself that I have to visit this place every time I come to Korea, I'm glad I still do. It's my second time!).

It's a sin to not have any photo taken with this love locks around the tower if you visit this place.
Meet my bestest friend forevs Shai! Read my previous blog posts (click here) about our friendship and you'll know why she's my bff! Ooopsies the benches in Namsan Tower look bent but trust me it's just the "style" we didn't break it.
Churros sundae on a winter night at Namsan Seoul Tower. We tried the strawberry churros last year. So, we decided to try Chocolate this time. It didm't disappoint but I'm pretty sure strawberries tasted better.
The road on our way to the tower goes through the side of a mountain. Seoul night lights were visibly vibrant and as we travel up, we saw a huge terrace right beside the road but we couldn't get off the bus until we reached the last stop. I didn't want to walk 800 meters downhill for the view but I was convinced by my bestfriend to try it. So, off we went. I was in awe! City Lights do give me that right amount of amazement.

Our very first group photo and behind us is the city lights that I'm talking about. Sorry this photo can't clearly define what I'm talking about "city lights" but I'm sure you know what I mean ;)
We didn't want to call it a night after visiting Namsan Seoul Tower which led us to hop back in our bus to go and amaze our friends on how Myeongdong never sleeps when it comes to shopping! If you want to shop for clothing, footwear, and cosmetics Myeongdong is what you are looking for. Cute pairs of socks are sold there for only $2! They even give you discounts if you buy more. So, save your haggling skills for Myeongdong.

It rained when we set our feet on Myeongdong and so we went to buy a transparent umbrella. It's so pretty! Here I am with my memshie Robert striking a pose because the umbrella is blog worthy. *wink wink*

Flower-shaped Yogurt Ice Cream. Memshie and I bought it for the love of instagram photos. It tasted good!
Walking the whole day was more than exhausting but if you are a tourist, there's just not enough time for rests because you have to visit quite a list of tourist locations. It would really hurt for me to say "I didn't get to visit this place because I sat down to rest my legs". So, rest time is only for meals and sleeping at night hahaha.

Finally, the other half of day two is finished. Wait up for my post on our third Day in Korea because it is my most favorite day!

xoxo
